• I have a client who uses the eighties theme. We’ve noticed a problem that’s kind of random on Safari on iOS. Sometimes the site loads fine. Other times, the site loads more like this.

My client noticed when he clears the browser cache, then it loads fine. Would anyone know of any way we could prevent this, however? The average user may not know that they need to clear their cache to prevent this problem.

This isn’t happening in any other browser from what I can tell. I’ve tested it in Firefox, Internet Explorer, Edge, and Chrome here as well as Safari.

  • Hi joeycaglewebdesign,
Don`t you have cache plugin on that site?

If Yes, try to turn it off and test.
Try to clear that cache also.
    Cheers

It’s caching done by GoDaddy. There doesn’t appear to be any way to just disable it. I do know there’s a way we can bypass the cache, but that kind of defeats the point of the site cache in the first place.

But just to be clear, it’s the browser cache itself we’re talking about clearing, which fixes the problem. We haven’t had to clear the site cache itself, just Safari’s cache.

BTW from my tests, when I had it happen in iOS (I was testing it in a virtual machine on Sauce Labs), refreshing the GoDaddy cache didn’t change anything. As I mentioned for me there, it was random. Restarting the VM sometimes caused it to load correctly. Other times it would load as shown in the picture.

    Hi Joey,
Im really sorry to say this, but I do not know how to help you.

Try contact Theme Developer. They can be handy.
I would never do hosting with GoDaddy.
They are great for Domains, but not hosting.
Take a look on some other host providers.
    I do prefer A2 Hosting
For possible website transfer join ManageWP and there you can clone your site to the new hosting company.
If you need any help, let me know.
    cheers
