We’ve recently migrated https://soundghost.net away from WordPress.com. All has been going well including the initial Jetpack safe mode instance due to the soundghost.net website being in two places at once. The “Move your settings” resolution worked and all was good.

Then I believe something caused the WordPress.com hosted version of the site to move to a new domain https://hello33f877b094.wpcomstaging.com/. This triggered the safe mode instance to occur again. When resolving again with “Move your settings”, all the stats data was reset and the account was no longer connected.

I’ve tried reconnecting the WordPress account associated, but this made no difference.

    Hi @nuimage,

Thanks for sharing the details — that was super helpful.

I took a look, and it sounds like the issue started when Jetpack entered Safe Mode a second time after your site briefly pointed to wpcomstaging.com. When “Move your settings” was used again, Jetpack created a new connection for soundghost.net, which caused your stats to reset.

The good news is your site is now properly connected — and I’ve just merged your previous stats into the current connection. You should see your historical data showing up again shortly in your WordPress.com dashboard and in Jetpack stats on your site.

Let me know if anything still looks off — happy to double-check!
