The sale prices aren’t actually being changed in the database, it is happening on the fly based on the promotion configuration. You could instead list products by category, base it on the sale configuration.
Alternatively, we have a similar plugin (Black Friday / Cyber Monday) that includes a shortcode to list the sale products, however this shortcode isn’t available in the On Sale! plugin. If you are interested in exchanging the plugin let us know.
