    Hello,

I recently switched hosts for my blog http://www.boringtextreviews.com
Whenever I try to restore the backup, this error occurs

“[critical] – [2023/08/23 05:44:35] – Cannot restore this backup! Free Version doesn’t support site migration and can only restore backups created on the same domain. Get WP Staging Pro to restore this backup on this website.”

I’m very confused, because the domain is the same.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @vtah,

could it be that you recently moved your site from http to https?

    http://www.boringtextreviews.com/
    https://www.boringtextreviews.com/

It seems wp staging treats a domain differently when the scheme changed.

It also does a check of the wordpress installation path which has been changed.

If you create a new backup, you should be able to restore it on this new server.

I will check with our team if we can improve that.

Btw. If you need to restore the backup right now, please contact our support team and link to this wordpress thread here. We will help you with it.

Thank you for the response, Rene. I double checked and both sites are using https.

It seems wp staging treats a domain differently when the scheme changed.

When you say the scheme, do you mean the WordPress theme? What should I be checking for?
