Same MailChimp connection, different required field parameters

    I have a dev.domain.org in which I’ve been testing out MC4WP. Works beautifully. Three (3) fields available, only the email field is required.

    However, when I installed MC4WP on the domain.org, while I still have the 3 fields available, I now have 2 fields which are marked as required: the email and first name fields. There has been no change to the original list, only the email field is required in MC.

    I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin several times, but the errant first name requirement remains. The dev.domain.org and domain.org are on the same server, but use different databases.

    Advice? A little help?

    Hello @smllms,

    This is a strange issue. Can you please double check if both are sending data to the same list? Also, please try clicking on the “Renew MailChimp Lists” button available on the “MailChimp for WP” menu in your WordPress admin and test again?

    Thank you for your response. I only have one MC list.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled on both the dev.domain.org and domain.org WP instances and reconnected using a freshly obtained MC api key.

    The dev.domain.org is fine and includes info on the only MC list, and the expected fields (email required, with optional first/last name fields), but the domain.org machine now has NO fields available in which to create a form.

    Does having the dev.domain.org and domain.org confuse MC4WP? Does it now think I’m trying to create two forms in the same WP installation?
