I am on my fourth WordPress theme now, and I still haven’t come close to what I need in a WordPress theme.

    I am currently using this:
    http://www.templatemonster.com/demo/48920.html

    I want something like this:
    http://www.templatemonster.com/demo/49415.html

but it is a Shopify theme and TemplateMonster wants $500 to convert it to a WordPress theme.

I have been searching and searching on TemplateMonster, ThemeForest, etc. and the themes are all basically the same. For example: I demo a theme that sells clothing. The main page shows an image of a coat, a shirt and a pair of shoes. If I click on the coat, I am directed to a page with pictures of that coat and some text describing the coat. This is great if I only want to sell one coat. But what if I have five different men’s coats?

With the Shopify theme, I can post an image on a page of a coat with a title of “Coats”. If I click on the image, I am directed to a page with many images of many coats. If I click on one of those, I am directed to yet another page with a slider of many pictures of that particular coat and some text that describes that coat.

Do you see the distinction? I have many incantations of items that I wish to sell that belong to a particular group, so I want the user to be able to choose the group first, then choose the item in the group, then go to the item page. Not just have a page full of items.

I spoke with a professional WordPress template developer who swears that such a WordPress template exists out there in the universe. I have yet to find one.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

All we can suggest is that you browse the themes in http://ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/ The tag filter may help you narrow down your search to just the themes containing the features that you want. In theory, any additional functionality that you need may be added via plugins.

Good grief that was fast!! 😮
Thanks! I will search there right away.
    🙂

P.S. Yes, the ultimate would be to have a plugin that would help me with this. That way, I could choose the theme that had the right look and feel, then use the plugin to get it to meet my needs.

So I downloaded a theme that might work (the “Market” theme). Is there a tutorial anywhere I can read to help me configure this theme? I can’t even get past square one.

I’m sorry but as you appear to be using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developer/vendor. We do not have access to, nor do we support, commercial products here.
    Try http://www.markettheme.com/forum

Forgive me as I am very new to this. I thought all themes downloaded from ww.wp.xz.cn were public themes. So ww.wp.xz.cn is just a portal?

Only themes downloaded from https://ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/ are supported here. The rest have nothing directly to do with ww.wp.xz.cn and we do not have access to many of them. Added to which, you paid for support from markettheme.com when you bought the theme, so make the most if it. 🙂

I did download the Market template (for free) from ww.wp.xz.cn:
