Same Titles are not creating the variable products

    I have more than 1000 products to import, getting an issue with some products that have the same titles but still not created as variable products.

    this is the example data i have.
    SKU Title Color Description
    10011 Klappstuhl weiß This is white color

    10030 Klappstuhl schwarz This is black color

    But when run import it create only first product as simple but take the color value from second one.

    Can i get some help to resolve this issue?

    Hi @shoaib-fareed,

    But when run import it create only first product as simple but take the color value from second one.

    Please make sure that you’re using the “All variations for a particular product have the same title. There are no parent products” option in the Variations tab: https://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/woocommerce/variable-products/#exampled.

    Also, if you want products with a single variation to be imported as variable products, make sure to disable the “Create products with no variations as simple products” option: https://d.pr/i/zEaSfE.

    If that doesn’t fix it, can you please send an example file (you can use dummy data) showing your data structure and also send a screenshot of the settings in the “Variations” tab of your import?

    Hi @shoaib-fareed,

    There are 2 problems that I see:

    • The variable products are not in order, they need to be together in the file. For example, instead of the records being listed like this: Variable Product 1, Variable Product 2, Variable Product 1. They need to be like this: Variable Product 1, Variable Product 1, Variable Product 2.
    • A lot of the titles in your file have a variation attribute in them, for example “Wandspiegel 150×75”, “Wandspiegel 190×75”, “Wandspiegel 60×60”. They need to be exactly the same or else they won’t connect together.

    Unfortunately, it looks like this will involve some manual work. It might be easiest to just add a new column that has a “Group ID” that you can use to connect the products together.
