    Hi,

I’m seeing the following warning on FireFox browser console:

Cookie “cookielawinfo-checkbox-necessary” does not have a proper “SameSite” attribute value. Soon, cookies without the “SameSite” attribute or with an invalid value will be treated as “Lax”. This means that the cookie will no longer be sent in third-party contexts. If your application depends on this cookie being available in such contexts, please add the “SameSite=None“ attribute to it. To know more about the “SameSite“ attribute, read https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Web/HTTP/Headers/Set-Cookie/SameSite

    This appears for checkbox-necessary, checkbox-advertisement, checkbox-analytics-performance.

I saw there have been other threads on this:

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/missing-the-possibility-to-set-secure-attribute-on-cookies/

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/firefox-and-samesitenone/

and in the most recent (late 2021) CookieYes said some research would be carried our and changes made if needed.

Is there any update on this? I saw that Google Chrome is planning to phase out third-party context cookies by 2024, while FireFox is also actively doing this.

    Hi @oriver,

    Greetings from CookieYes!

Our plugin relies on JavaScript for its functioning, and as a result, it is not feasible to include an HTTP header. This is due to the requirement of modifying the values of the cookies associated with the plugin from ‘No’ to ‘Yes’ when the user consents to the relevant categories. The problem mentioned is inherent to all plugins that utilize JavaScript for their operations.

Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Here is a temporary solution:

Webtoffee: Why don’t you fix the problem?
If the temporary solution works, then you should be able to fix it as well.
