Save Button Dissapeared
-
Hi there.
My save button has dissapeared when i go in and edit widgets to change view settings like roles etc. I cant save changes on individual widgets.
Not sure how to get it back. I tried deactivating the plugin, and trying again, but to no avail.
Thanks,
Zac.

I disabled all of my plugins and left only dynanic widgets enabled, and still nothing.
Sorry for my late reply. I’m currently travelling.
Do you have a lot of pages, taxonomies, or anything else in a hierarchical way? It might the admin page crashes cause the webserver your site is running on allows too low memory.
Hi there.
Oh thats ok 🙂
See I only have 1 side bar that has about 4 widgets that are dynamic, so I don’t see why that would happen.
I got it working, but can’t remember what I did. But that was on shared.
I got my site migrated to a VPS yesterday, and now with W3 Total Cache (which I used on shared), if object cache is enabled, I get a 404 error page when I go to edit a widget.
But when object cache is disabled, I can go into the edit widget settings, but theres no save or save and return buttons?
I have tried to uninstall, re install, I disabled every other plugin.
It worked on shared, but now on vps, I dont know whats happened, especially with the w3 total cache “object cache” issue, thats new since i was upgraded.
Here is the compatibility test, maybe you can see something thats disabled that needs to be enabled?

I have 53 pages, and about 50 test posts.
I also tried resetting htaccess, updating permalinks, both to default and current.
Hi.
Ive fixed the problem. Not to anyone in the future, don’t use over 2,000 categories if they are running wordpress.
Ive gone from 4,000 categories to 1,100 and its fixed it.
My other plugin that failed is working now to. How odd that my categories were affecting it.
Thanks.
Great you got it working. Categories are like taxonomies. So, yeah… It does make sense.
