Hi @itsofficialadi,
From what I can tell, there is something on the site interfering with the plugin.
I recommend installing this plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/
After you install and activate the above plugin it has a Troubleshooting mode which allows you to have a vanilla WordPress session, where all plugins are disabled, and a default theme is used, but only for your user – your visitors will still see the normal website.
Go to its troubleshoot mode and only activate this plugin and see if the same happens with a default WordPress theme (Twenty Twenty-One for example) and no other plugins.
Please let me know how it goes and what you find!
All the best,
Mihaela
Hi @mplusb
I tried your method but still, the issue is the same. But after installing Health Check plugin a new option “Tool” showed up under the site health section and there I check the plugin compatibility with the highest PHP version and it showed that the highest PHP version supported by the remove footer credit plugin 7.3 and my site is currently running on 7.4.30 and I assume that this can be the issue due to which the plugin is not working properly.
Looking forward to hearing back from you on this matter.
Best
Aditya
Hello Aditya,
In your dashboard > tools > you will find Site health which is relatively new option added by WordPress.
The plugin: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ is not related to that option.
After you install the Troubleshooting plugin above go to Plugins > and under the plugin Remove footer credits > click on Troubleshoot. It will deactivate all plugins and the theme to see if there is an incompatibility with something else on the site.
Then go to Tools > Remove footer credits > and see if you can see the save button.
If you can see the save button, you can reactivate plugins one by one until you find the culprit.
Please let me know how it goes!
Warmly,
Mihaela
