Clicking the ‘Save Draft’ button on the Post a Job page creates a draft Company and Job Listing in WP Admin.

If the user clicks the ‘Save Draft’ button again it creates a duplicate entry of both the Company and the Job Listing.

I’ve had to hide the button with CSS as a workaround – is this expected behaviour?

Also I’m using the JobHunt theme, I submitted a support ticket to the devs and they pushed it back saying it was all managed by the WP Job Manager plugin.

    Hi @psty ,

    Interesting!

I’ve tried testing this and I’m not able to duplicate the ahem, duplication. (And no, this isn’t expected behavior). I created a new job via the frontend and clicked ‘save draft’,then checked the backend. There’s no job listing duplicate: https://cloudup.com/c3L9R81qHLI

I also tried saving as draft, then saving as draft again, and that also did not lead to duplicate job listings.

Resuming the submission also did not create a duplicate.

Caveat: Company Listings are not part of core WPJM.

So, if you’re still experiencing this, it’s possible that there might be a conflict with one of your current plugins or your theme.

Try disabling all of your plugins except WP Job Manager (and add-ons). Then try testing again to see if the issue persists. If that resolves your issue, you can find what was causing it by enabling each plugin one by one while continuing to test.

If that doesn’t help, you can also try switching to the Twenty Twenty theme via Appearance > Themes, and test again. If the issue is resolved then you know it’s a problem with the theme, and you’ll need to contact the theme author for further assistance.

Let us know how it goes!

    Best,
    Cena
