By the way:
Here are the only active plugins:
– BackWPup
– Custom Permalinks
– TablePress
– TablePress Extension: Change DataTables strings
In the Google Chrome browser, the table loads very slowly and it takes a long time until I can scroll the page down completely. The browser has to work. May perhaps be due to the more than 800 links, which are integrated in one of the three columns?
Hi,
ok, those plugins should not cause trouble, so it might be related to the size of the table, indeed.
As mentioned in my email reply, I’d like to take a direct look, so that we can hopefully fix this.
When we then find a solution, we can again post it here.

Tobias
Hi,
I am having the same problem and getting the same error messages, at the site I administer.
The messages are “Saving failed: AJAX call successful, but unclear data. Try again while holding down the “Shift” key.” – even when you follow these instructions, the next message “Error: The table could not be saved.” comes up.
I am running TablePress 1.1.1 on a WP 3.7 installation. The tables are not very large (2 or 3 columns, and say up to 12 rows) and when you try to save changes to any of those tables, it appears some of the changes sometimes then appear on certain browsers like Chrome, even if the error messages come up.
Other times, the changes really are not saved.
I have a lot of plugins on the site so it is difficult to identify any which may be causing a problem (unless you know of any known issues):
Akismet
BackWPup
CollabPress
Dagon Design Sitemap Generator
Duplicator
Dynamic Headers by Nicasio Design
Embed RSS
Enhanced Meta Widget
Eventbrite for The Events Calendar
Facebook Social Plugins
Fast Secure Contact Form
Get Picasa Albums
Gwyn’s Imagemap Selector
HL Twitter
Jetpack by WordPress.com
MaxButtons Pro
s2Member® Framework
Shashin
The Events Calendar
Toppa Plugins Libraries for WordPress
WP Facebook Open Graph protocol
WP Render Blogroll Links
I was about to donate to your plugin having tested it out a bit, but wanted to confirm this issue has been fixed before I do that.
Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
This is indeed fixed in the latest versions.
I strongly recommend that you first update to WordPress 3.8, and then to TablePress 1.3.
If you really have to stay on WordPress 3.7.1, you should update to TablePress 1.2. (In case you don’t see the automatic update, just download the ZIP file from http://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/tablepress/developers/ and perform a manual update via FTP.)
Regards,
Tobias
Thanks Tobias – upgrading to TP 1.2 fixed the problems as you predicted. I am currently updating the site to WP3.8 and will get TP 1.3 after that.
Hi,
very nice! Thanks for the confirmation!
Good to hear that this helped! And yes, updating to WP 3.8 and TablePress 1.3 will be even better then 🙂
Best wishes,
Tobias
P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
