I have created couple of new post types for which I have custom meta-boxes. I want my users to be able to add content to the new post type from the front-end, kind of like P2 theme. However, I think there might be an easier way to do this.

  • I was looking at meta boxes the other day and bookmarked this “Front End Post Meta Boxes” for late research, it looks like what you are looking for and may help.

I have not evaluated the code so if it is helpfull post back!

    Hey David,
Yes that worked out fine!! It’s an awesome tutorial and now the possibilities are infinite of what I can do with those meta boxes.

Ok, I have a different question on Meta Boxes.

Can I create a system so that users can add new options such as new dropdown options, radio button options to metaboxes? I already have created a mammoth form that can be used with a custom post type. But now the client wants to be able to add new options to the radio buttons and dropdown menus.

One option is to use Gravity forms and just add it to the template for this new post type, so the client can change the forms as and when needed. However, I am not sure if Gravity forms do that. Are there other options?
