saved changes do not show up

    Hello Community,

    we struggle with the problem that changes in posts or pages can be saved (according to the button and no error occurs), but the changes are not written in our database so after refreshing the website the changes (which were visable in the backend, but are not written in the database) are gone.

    Neither error-files help since they do not show problems, deactivating plugins, theme and installing WordPress from the scratch nor error-files from our host, the hosting is all fine. So no problem caused by plugins, theme or hosting.

    Seems to be a problem of WordPress since WordPress does not edit the database with the changes but also do no detect a problem and show some error-notices or write it in the error-logs.

    We would be super happy to get support.

    It may as well be WordPress — but note that millions of users are using WordPress with no problem. So even if it’s WordPress, chances are something peculiar to your environment is causing WordPress to behave this way.

    Have you turned on debugging to come to this conclusion? Also, have you checked your servers log files (MySQL, PHP, Apache, etc)?

    Hello, thanks for the reply.

    Yes, we tried everything, error logs, debug mode and so on, but no problems were detected.
    We also tried the combination of theme and plugins but also no changes an be saved.

    We can edit parts of the website which are organized by plugins (e.g. yoast SEO meta descriptions), but in the editor of wordpress where we edit posts and pages, no changes are saved, the unchanged content is reloaded in the back- and frontend again.

    Do you have some other tools or tips to try?
