Saved the day!
-
Been using this plugin for development, migration, and production sites, and it has been excellent. Just updated a client’s site to WordPress 3.6 last week at 11 p.m. (after hours of extensive image revisions to the site.) I’d run a backup and disabled all plugins, but still got the white screen of death midstream during the update. Thought the backups were being e-mailed to me – found out that due to size, only a link to the site’s backup page was sent. Realized too late I had not downloaded the backup as I normally do. Ughh. Followed the directions for restoring from the humanmade site – no file called backups existed in my wp-content folder as it said. Started searching through the folders, and lo and behold, found one with an odd name that contained about a dozen backups, including the one I had just run. Restored the site without a hitch in about an hour. Thank you BackUpWordPress – you saved the day!
