Hi,
I recommend enabling “debug mode” -temporarily- from (Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics) then run a new scan and when it hangs, send me the scan activity log to “alaa [at] Wordfence [dot] com”.
Thanks.
Hello,
The email also sent, As you told me that to enable the Enable debugging mode, I enabled it and run the scan again. but still, it says The current scan looks like it has failed. Please look at the screenshots.

Hello,
You must set “Maximum execution time for each scan stage” to be less than the “max_execution_time” set in your PHP settings, I can see you set it to 1000, I don’t believe there is a hosting provider than can let a script running for more than 15 minutes, this isn’t applicable, please follow this guide while setting “Maximum execution time for each scan stage”:
First try 30, save and do a scan. If the scan does not complete, then try 15, save and do a scan. If it still doesn’t complete then try 12. If you still don’t have any luck getting a scan to complete, then there may be another problem or you may have to ask your hosting provider to increase the amount of time a web server process is allowed to execute.
Thanks.
Now another problem occurs that is “Time limit that a scan can run in seconds”
https://ibb.co/fiMJqG as it says by default it is 0 to 3 hours, what should time I add to this https://ibb.co/cWHoPb
Now again that error comes https://ibb.co/iGxYPb I tried with 15, 30 (first time no problem second time again error), now I did with 12 and again error comes https://ibb.co/iGxYPb what should I do now.
Hi,
In the plugin’s options page, check “Scans to include” section and un-check “Scan images, binary, and other files as if they were executable” and also make sure “Enable HIGH SENSITIVITY scanning” isn’t checked.
Also, on this website do you have symlinks? remember that you can always use “Exclude files from scan that match these wildcard patterns” to exclude (Log files, backup files or cache files).
Let me know how it goes,
Thanks.
Finally problem is solved after un-check the option of “Scan images, binary, and other files as if they were executable”
but why error comes if i check this option?
It could be that your website has a lot of images with low server resources to allow the scanner to scan all of them without hitting some limits, in this case I suggest keeping “Disable Code Execution for Uploads directory” option enabled.
Thanks.
Yes, I disabled it when I install the plugin, Thank you for your help but tell me what if I want to scan all the images folder?
