I’m getting “Invalid object type for field “item” (in “itemListElement”)” (position 3) since 13th of January in Google Search console. Started with 1 error now up to 6 errors.

When disabling the Yoast Scheme, Google shown no errors. Enabling, errors shows up again.

    I’m running v. 19.14.
I have engaged the theme support as well who pointed me to Scheme.

Have been clearing cache between the tests.

I suspect the latest upgrade due to the dates. I haven’t done any roll back yet.

    Hi @lembitlounge

While the Yoast SEO plugin does indeed output a series of schema.org structured data, including the ‘breadcrumb’ schema, we’ve tested the URL you’ve provided in Google’s Rich Results Test here, and it looks like there are 2 sets of ‘breadcrumb’ schema that are outputting, 1 from the Yoast SEO plugin, and 1 from another source (either from another plugin or theme).

It’s the other schema output that has the “invalid object type for field ‘item'” error and not from the Yoast SEO schema output, so you might want to check on that accordingly and see if you can remove the incorrect schema code.

If you make sure that the schema output that is retained in the Yoast SEO plugin, you can try and check and validate the fix and see if it then is a valid rich result for breadcrumbs.
