    Hello,

When I upload an image to WordPress media library, its icon appears but it will be skewed or mashed with transparency, random colors, and colors from the image. If you click on the image to make a larger, it displays fine. If I change the file name and upload the image again it will not mash up the image.

It almost seems as though the beginning image is compressed properly (say the top 16 rows of pixels) and then the rest is scrambled after that.

I could not replicate this on my dev server, but my dev server is not an exact replicate of my prod server.

Also, this started when the update for WordPress 4.4.2 was rolled out.

    Thank you,
    Ethan

Before WordPress update, was it all working fine?

    Cheers

    Hi Umesh,

Yes. Up until my WordPress instance updated to 4.4.2, everything was working fine.

    Thank you,
    Ethan

    Hi @ethan Lemke,

Extremely sorry, that I didn’t follow up.

Can you possibly create a replica on staging and see if you are facing the same issue.

If it does, I’ll need your help to debug this one.

    Thanks
