scrambled widgets in sidebars

    In Storefront theme, I keep the native sidebar empty. But if i switch themes temporarily, when I return to my child theme the widgets from one of my content aware sidebars get moved into the storefront native sidebar. Also, the widget in the native Footer bar gets moved to a different footer widget area. Seeking tips to prevent this relocation of widgets.

    Thank you for reporting this.

    Are you using the latest version of WordPress and Content Aware Sidebars?
    Does the child theme contain the same sidebar/widget areas as the parent theme?
    Are you switching themes from within the Customizer/Live Preview, or do you just do it from the Manage Themes screen?
