Scripts loaded on product page

Hello,

it seems 9 requests are performed on our single product page by the PayPal plugin.
I have no idea why it does this, as it should only load on the checkout page.

I verified the settings and the plugin is NOT enabled on single product, NOT on cart and NOT on mini cart. Still; it has 9 requests on every product page which is a waste of resources.

Would you have an idea why this happens, how we can make sure to disable this?

Hi @sanderrrrr,

Generally, when the Mini Cart button is enabled, the PayPal scripts are loaded on all pages: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/#faq-paypal-scripts-on-every-page
But there is a bug in the current version 1.9.1 which can cause this behavior even without the Mini Cart button enabled.
This has been resolved for the next update, which is expected for sometime next week. In the meantime, you could either downgrade to a previous version or try it with the plugin version linked in the GitHub issue above.

I can confirm this issue exists on my client sites. I wont be upgrading Paypal until this issue is fixed.

It is a huge performance issue and is causing at least 125kb of scripts to load on all pages.

The next update includes a fix for the behavior and is expected for sometime next week. A pre-release version is available on GitHub already: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/releases

This issue has now been resolved in the latest release.

This issue is still not resolved as the new version has not been released.
I have manually installed the pre-release as this seems too big of an issue to just wait for an update..

This is fixed in Version 1.9.2.

I can confirm this on several client sites.
