Scrolling Issue
-
Hi,
There is an issue when activating this plugin while having the admin panel on RTL language.
When I activate it I see the bottom scrollbar and I can scroll it far to the left.
(so yeah, it’s just a dashboard issue)

Hi @oritzio,
just to be sure I understand correctly, does it happen only in the WP Dashboard page, but not on other pages (like Posts, Plugins, Themes etc.)?
Do you have by chance Elementor installed and active? In all pages on the dashboard when I used Hebrew. not on the website itself.
no, I’m not using Elementor.
Hi,
We put our language into Hebrew on our testing site and then activated Duplicate Post v4.0.2 and did not experience the scroll bar issue described. See image: https://ibb.co/BqyGBtF. We would like some more information.
1. If you deactivate the plugin does the issue resolve on those other pages or does it continue?
2. If you were to install and activate a different plugin in the Plugins area does the same issue happen?
When this plugin is deactivated everything is normal.
When I activate it I see that scroll bar at the bottom and I can scroll far to the left and at the end of that scrolling I see an input field, if I inspect that with chrome I can see there is a form with this action:https://yoast.us1.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=ffa93edfe21752c921f860358&id=972f1c9122
and the parent of that form is a div with this id = mc_embed_signup.
it looks like a mailchimp form…
Hi,
We would like some more information.
1. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.6? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.
2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?
If all are updated and the issue still happens, it sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. Please Check for conflicts. Install the Healthcheck plugin and enable troubleshooting. Then switch to a standard theme like 2020. Does the issue resolve? NOTE: This will not affect how users see your site.
If there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.
yes, I have 5.6.
I’m checking again, just an update it’s happening only when I’m on the main dashboard page and on the plugins page. (not on pages, posts, settings or other dashboard pages..)
Weird, I tried also to change to the ‘twentytwentyone’ theme and I still have this scrollbar.
But this form that I mentioned before doesn’t give you a hint about that issue?
Hi @oritzio,
I was finally able to reproduce the bug, as you suggested it’s part of the newsletter signup form which is embedded in the upgrade notice.
If you can see the upgrade notice you should be able to dismiss it with the × icon in the top right corner, otherwise you can navigate to Settings → Duplicate Post, third tab “Display”, untick the last checkbox “Show upgrade notice” and save the options.
This should dismiss the upgrade notice and prevent the scrollbar from appearing in the WP Dashboard.
Thanks for reporting, we’ll see how to fix the issue.Hi @oritzio,
version 4.1 (just released) should fix the issue.
Can you let us know if this is the case?
Thanks!ohhh just because of me? 🙂 haha
Yes, issue has been fixed, thanks!
