    Hi,

Is it possible to search for a specific html code within the site and delete it? On all the pages of my site I have a <span style=”font-weight: 400;”> code that was created by copying and pasting from Word and I would like to delete it.

    Hi @bipiuci,

Better Search Replace Support Team here. Thanks for reaching out! We would be happy to assist.

If the code is stored in the database, the plugin should be able to find it. However, the code might be stored differently (e.g., with escaped characters or encoded formatting), so it’s important to check how it’s saved first.

To remove the found term, simply leave the “Replace with” field empty. You can find more details on running a search and replace here: https://bettersearchreplace.com/doc/running-a-search-replace/

We strongly recommend creating a backup before making any changes. Please let us know if you have more questions!
