Search bar spins in Chrome

When I search my forum in Chrome nothing seems to happen and the icon just spins unless you press ‘enter’ (but the user doesn’t necessarily know to press enter because it looks like something should happen since its spinning.) It works fine in Firefox. is there a fix for this?
