We recently updated to WP 3.5.1 and I am having a few issues. I am not certain these issues are update related, but It has been causing some issues. We have a page with a table listed in accordance to FOIA. This table is very large and so we added the search feature to it. I noticed WP is moving from tables-reloaded to TablePress and I thought that might be an issues. I have now updated from tables-reloaded to TablePress and still am not able to searcth the table on the page. any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble. (No need to repost.)

Please post a link to the page with the table, and I’ll gladly take a look. This is most likely a JavaScript issue, e.g. a conflict between plugins.

    Hi,

thanks for the link! From what I can see, the search is not active because your table does not have a table head row, which is a requirement for the feature to work. So, just go to the “Edit” screen of the table, click the “Table Head Row” and “Use DataTables” checkboxes below the table input fields, and then activate the desired features in the “Features of the DataTables JavaScript library” section there.

    That worked perfectly!!!!! Thank you!!!

    Hi,

very nice! 🙂 Thanks for the confirmation!
Have fun with the search then!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
