OK I think I found my answer in your “Widget Pack” extension. Could you kindly confirm that using the “Category” widget, a user could select and display MULTIPLE categories?

Apologies for the delay in my reply!!!
The Widget Pack does include a Category widget, but this will filter only by the category permalink that the site visitor clicks. It does not allow them to choose two categories or more to filter the list.
All of the premium templates include a category filter as well. By default, this allows filtering by a single category. An undocumented feature can be enabled to allow multiple category selection and filtering. I do not advertise it as users, in my experience, had difficulty using it. So that could be an option.
Another option is that the Pro Pack addon bundle includes access to an advanced search beta that allows filtering by multiple categories. You can learn more about it at the following link to see if it suits your requirements.
