• Hi OllieJones, very nice plugin. But – when searching orders I randomly don’t seem to find some of them. I’m able to find the previous or the next one, but not the one I need. Search by phone, name and email works. I use WordPress posts storage (legacy) and enabled compatibility mode (Synchronize orders between High-performance order storage and WordPress posts storage).

What can be the reason for that?

Thanks for letting me know. This sounds like a defect in the plugin. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Some questions, if I may:

    1. Was the plugin activated recently or many days / weeks ago?
    2. What happens if you deactivate then reactivate it? (It will rebuild its indexing table when you do that, and I’m curious to know whether that “fixes” the problem.
    3. Can you give me some examples of the search terms that fail to retrieve the right orders?

Hi again, I activated it last Friday. No, reindexing doesn’t fix it. Well, we search orders either by copying a phone number or an email address, entered by a customer. A usual procedure that works fine with the default woo search. It is strange that same default search up until recently used to be fast enough, which brings me to the thought that it might be a server issue. Currently, we have about 117 000 orders.

Thanks for following up, and sorry your situation isn’t resolved.

The next step for me to troubleshoot this, if you have time and are willing, is getting you to send me some database information, and maybe try out a pre-release version of the plugin. I can get this information from Query Monitor or from the Monitor feature in my Index WP MySQL for Speed plugin. I am hoping to see the queries that do the failing search.

The plugin may be missing some data fields. It’s hard for me to track this down without looking at a real-life system. Let me know, by replying to this topic, if you’re willing to join my short list of collaborators in making this plugin work well.

Thanks for your help and patience and sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi again, I am willing to help.

Here’s a case from today. There is an order from midnight still pending. If I search client’s name or phone number, the order pops up, but if I search his email, no order is returned, as if no roder has been made with that email address (@icloud.com)

Otherwise search is mostly reliable but how the plugin choses what order data to save and what not to save remains a mistery.
