    If the plugin is used to protect an entire site is it correct that search engines will not be able to scan anything on the site? We have a site that is private and contains confidential information. Need to be sure search engines cannot find anything on the site.

    That’s correct. Though technically Google (and other search engines) will still be able to visit your site, your content will be hidden from the search index because all Google (and other search engines) will be able to see when they go to your website, and any page on your website, will be the login page.
