Search Field

Hi!
I’m using the plugin and there’s a thing: My search bar doesn’t work properly.
There is a way to configure it?
Or, it’s not avaiable?

Hello @cleudemirjunior
The search bar is working fine. Maybe its a problem with your theme. Do you have a link to your site so I can check the themes CSS file? And what is the exact bug?
Sure!
My website is http://www.cronapp.io
It’s a brazilian site. The link to the forum is: https://www.cronapp.io/forum-cronapp/Thanks!
Sorry! The bug.
The thing is: when you search something, the search result is empty.
And I’m not sure if the problem is the language or if is a bug..
thanksHello @cleudemirjunior
Was the search working before? Are you using the default forum-shortcode or one with parameters? Maybe its really a problem with the language or some limitations of your database-server because on my test-installations everything is working fine. :S
Hi!
Yes, it was working before.
I’m using the default shortcode.I have absolutely no idea why it is not working. Have you installed or updated some new plugins, for example for caching/security/seo? If so, could you try to disable them and check the functionality again?
Hi!
I’ve tried this too…
Still not working… I’m no idea what can cause that…In another development environment I’ve try to update my WordPress and see if that was the problem.
It was not too.Another thing, there is any way to export all the data from the forum?

If you have access to your database with a tool like phpmyadmin you could use it to import/export the tables.
Right!
So, can you tell me an “How to” import/export the tables? And which one are those?
And about the search, there’s a way to fix it?Hello @cleudemirjunior
The tables are:
– wp_forum_forums
– wp_forum_topics
– wp_forum_postsWhen you navigate to your WordPress database, there should be an export-tab.
I dont have any idea about the search-issue. You are the only one who came with this issue and on my test-installations its working fine. So I assume that it is a database-problem instea of a bug in the plugin.
So the problem persist.
We have another environment that the search works fine.
The URL is www-i2.cronapp.io
Can U help me?
ThanksHi Asgaros!
Finally I’ve found out what was the problem.
There was a missing index in the database.
The solution was pretty simple, I’ve just create this missing index (FULLNAME) and the search works fine again!
Thanks for your supportHello @cleudemirjunior
I am happy to hear that it is working now. Normally the forum should have created that index automatically, so it seems a little bit strange why it didnt exist on your page.
