Search Field Length

    In WP-Tables-Reloaded, you could change the length of the search field in the <input> tags in this file: /wp-content/plugins/wp-table-reloaded/js/jquery.datatables.min.js

    I found similar <input> tags in that file in TablePress, but adding length=”45″ doesn’t change anything.

    Can this length be changed?

    Hi,

    thanks for your question.

    Changing the length of this field like this (i.e. by editing a plugin file) is not recommended! You will lose these modifications after each plugin update!

    Instead, please change the length of this field with CSS code, e.g. by pasting

    .dataTables_wrapper .dataTables_filter input {
    width: 30px;
}

    into the “Custom CSS” textarea on the “Plugin Options” screen of TablePress.
