Search Filter Field

We are using the Free Filter Everything which is great apart from the ‘search’ element.

When customers enter the colour to ‘search by’ ‘red’ for example is a good example. Products are coming up in the search that have no reference to the search field of ‘red’, i.e a black, cream hat (IW1271), no mentioned of red in product description or the attribute colour, plus other products. Can you advise why this is happening?
