I use my website to publicly showcase songs but also as a personal workplace to organize dialogue and music for Broadway-like musicals.

With that in mind, it would be helpful if I could use the Search Function at the top of my Pictorico WordPress theme to quickly locate and listen to specific songs. (There are several hundred songs residing on the site, divided among 20 different Posts that I use to categorize the songs by genre and subject matter.)

The Search Function currently yields Lyric Pages (where I can only read the lyrics and not hear the song) and Posts where I can listen to the song only after finding it amlng other songs on the album list (which can sometimes be quite long).

To listen to specific songs as quickly as possible, would it be a good idea to use the standard WordPress Audio Player to put the song at the bottom of each Lyrics Page?

Or would you know of a more efficient way of using the Search Function to immediately hear a song?

Many thanks in advance for your much appreciated help.

To solve this on one of my own projects my approach would probably be to look into adding a new taxonomy to hold the audio titles (and variations of the titles) for each page and use a plugin like ‘search everything’ to include this taxonomy in the search.
