Hi, when entering a title for one of my forum they which is the search I have on the top right side of the site. The category that I had created didn’t show up and yes that is even the right title. Also when I do a search a different Search In Forum, that is using the search by scrolling on the different title post that I have crated and clicking on it, no category shows up. When I add in the Search Phase and chose Search Type I chose the Search By Title and still nothing shows up, nothing happens as well.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @donna4u2,

The wpForo search works in the following way: it searches by Topic title/Post content, etc, but it doesn’t include the search by the Forum or Category titles.

If you search by the “bullies” topic title you’ll see the correct result:

Ok Thanks.I have sent you an email with screen shot, I wanted to know if there is a way to delete or hide with css code that middle search of the site, Forum Search and all in that space. Thanks.

I get your problem. Why don’t you try using this plugin. The benefit is that it gives a customizable search ranking. That means that you can decide which, if any, tags are to be picked up and from where.

You can find more info on how to set it up here.

It’s a pretty straightforward fix. This is a paid plugin costing $9.

Hi, I have add that plugin in, that didn’t hide that search menu issue. Those search are Search in Forums:, Search Phrase:, Search in date period:, Sort Search Results by:, Search Type:

Let me know if there is another way to hide that search, since I can’t really use it. Thank you.

    hi @donna4u2

Sorry that the plugin did not work as expected. It is designed to replace the default WordPress search with the ExpertRec search bar.

Of course, if you wish, it can be set up to replace the forum search with a different search as well. This will fill the space with a smaller search bar, the appearance of which you can customize.

Will this be an acceptable solution? You can raise a support ticket and specify your exact requirements.

If you only wish to only hide the search and not replace it, then this might not be the best solution.

    Hope this helps.

Please don’t forget to include the screenshot in the post content.
