    Hi,

I’m having an issue with a WooCommerce site and the search function on this site:
    https://lifesourcebookshop.co.uk/

It has been working with no issues, but we’ve just found a strange bug.
We’ve added some Christmas products and want customers to be able to search for them. One, for example, has the phrase “Christmas in” in the title. Searching for this works.

However, you cannot search for the words “Christ” or “Christmas”.

    Can anyone help with this?

    Thanks,
    Rob

  • Hi @robstyrrell

I understand that you’re having issues with the WooCommerce Product Search plugin, where keywords don’t return the right products, right? I replicated this on my end and can also see the issue.

First, to isolate the problem, could you please perform a conflict test? Kindly switch to a default WordPress theme, and then deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce to see if the issue is gone, if yes, that means a theme or a plugin is contributing to the issue. Re-enable each to see which one causes it. You can find a more detailed explanation of how to do a conflict test here.

Otherwise, please share a copy of your site’s System Status Report so that we can better understand your site’s current environment.

    • System Status Report: navigate to WooCommerceStatus → select Get system report and then Download for support. This will download a TXT file that has the contents of the SSR to share with us.
    • Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerceStatusLogs.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
