Search result without post, page type

    Hi,
    We have an unknown issue when using WordPress search with custom post type.
    The search result of WordPress search will only show the “knowledge base” custom posts, and none of normal posts and pages in sites.
    We use a your plugin to configure/register new custom post types of articles. It worked well with WordPress search when user is admin. WordPress search can correctly show the search results of custom post type articles.
    However, we found that WordPress search only return articles belong to custom post type but no result for those belong to post and page for non-admin users.
    that is, for non-admin users:
    search result only includes custom post type.
    But for admin users:
    The results show all the post, page and custom post type.
    We have no idea why this happens. Would you provide us some suggestion about this problem?

    The version of KB is: 6.9.0

    Hi,

    That is very strange the WordPress Search will search all posts, pages, and custom post types. Unless you are using a third-party plugin that changes the default behaviour of WordPress. Our KB Search only searches through our KB CPT.

    We do not touch the default WordPress search functionality, if there are issues with that, then it’s caused by another third party plugin or your theme.

    If you’re having issues with the KB Search, we would love to get more information on what issues you are having.
