  • Hi Stephanie, what do you mean by not traced in the search-field?

    Hi,

I mean: when I type the name of a picture I used in a slideshow in the search field, no results are found.
    You can try this at:

one of the slides is named “dak-renovatie”

    THanks.

Does your picture also have an alt title? Sometimes the internal search in WordPress does not work very well. What if you try to search using Google search engine for the name you mentioned above with your website URL added as well in the search. What happens then?

Alle pictures have titles and are places in slideshows.
With Google I can find the picture, no problem.

The search field in WP only finds text.

That confirms my statement above. Have you ever thought of adding Google Custom Search engine to your site?

    Thanks, for the diagnostics.
I hoped I could fix this within WP 2015 or the slideshow-plugin….
I have no experience with Google Custom Search engine, but I will think about that.

You might like to read the following documentation. It should help you setting up Google Custom Search engine in your site.
