Search Widget Not Working Properly

I have same problem on 2 installs. I install the plugin and register new taxonomies. I then create entries under each newly created taxonomy.

I use the wp-search listing widget and select both newly created taxonomies. Searching using the first taxonomy works; however, using the second taxonomy (whether independently or in conjunction wit the first) makes no difference. It is useless.

Any ideas where to start?
