Theme “twentyseventeen” has what they called around 2003 a splash screen something that was not recommended. Fashions can change thus eventually I can adopt this theme.

Also, I hope to make the testing senseless with the ideal theme. The plugin namely works.

Please what is the best working theme?

Twenty Seventeen is the current default theme, meaning it ships with the current version of WordPress, and is therefore the best theme to test with: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/twentyseventeen/

    Hi James,

Are you certain? Did you help with the building or is it only from one person?

Can you also explain why you have to update your submitted plugin(s) regularly? I thought I had the impression that you have less work when you put everything in your footer.

I am very certain. I was not part of the team who built Twenty Seventeen, but every “Twenty” theme is built as a team effort by WordPress core developers and designers, made to be simple, bug-free, and highlight some of the new features in the current WordPress version.

It is the theme that the WordPress developers suggest all plugin developers test their plugins against, and it is the theme that we support volunteers recommend as a necessary part of troubleshooting a broken site (for ruling out the current theme as a problem).

If you’re at all curious about how it was built, here are some posts that might interest you: https://make.ww.wp.xz.cn/core/tag/twenty-seventeen/

Can you also explain why you have to update your submitted plugin(s) regularly?

That would depend on the plugin. There are many plugins which haven’t been updated in well over two years, yet they still work flawlessly.

What sort of problem are you running into?

Maybe you would find that a good idea to update them all as an exercise?

I wonder if I didn’t force myself last weeks. Do you know how I make a plugin? With the trial and error method I cut and paste other people’s code until I get something that works. I can nearly not program. We never got that at school. Neither did I complete university so that I never got a training from the labour agency.

Would I forward the email with your answer to a plugin developer? He asked my login data. No. He knows that also.

    What exactly is a bug?

You are a volunteer thus. How do you live further?

    Thanks for the link.

The ones I have control over are updated frequently.

Would I forward the email with your answer to a plugin developer? He asked my login data. No. He knows that also.

Sure, I don’t see why you shouldn’t forward my answer over.

Also, I recommend that you do *not* give anyone access to your site like that.

You might need to find an alternative. Exactly what plugin are you referring to?

    What exactly is a bug?

A bug is when software doesn’t work as described.

You are a volunteer thus. How do you live further?

I work a fulltime job elsewhere and volunteer my free time here. Almost everyone who develops and supports WordPress does so on a volunteer basis.

Do you have an active profession?

I prepared a subdomain for him with a new WP installation and his own password.

Everybody should be able to solve questions orally eventually in a private forum as they do where I have my hosting. They are Dutch.

    Yes.

    They are Dutch.

Are you Dutch as well? If so, you might be interested in https://nl.ww.wp.xz.cn/support/ for any further support needs. πŸ™‚

That’s not my profile as I updated it.

I know that forum already. Can you really not occupy with not native English talking or is it only for reasons of the optimal working of the forum? How can I go to the Dutch side while I’m busy with that other guy who wrote “save for later” plugin? Does he talk a little bit of Dutch also maybe?

    Moderator James Huff

    (@macmanx)

To be honest, not all of your English makes sense, and it also sounds like you can’t understand some of my replies as I intended them.

Are you native Dutch speaker? If so, you’ll definitely have a better experience over at https://nl.ww.wp.xz.cn/support/

If your problem is only with the Save for Later plugin, then just continue to work with its developer, as he described at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/save-for-later-doesnt-work-as-in-the-demo/

    Hey @hoore,

Note for moderators: I explained in Dutch to @hoore that it’d probably be easier for him to ask his question(s) on the Dutch support forums, as @macmanx suggested before. I also explicitly stated that we will not continue this conversation in Dutch here.

    Thank you @tacoverdo !
