• Hi,

I have found this strange title tag on every page of my website:
    <title> Unbenanntes Dokument </title>

How can I get rid of it? I’ve searched it everywhere, also in the php files of the page. Hope someone can help me, cause this could cause SEO issues.

    Thanks,

    Michael

  • Hi Michael,

Are you using additional SEO plugin? If so, please try disabling it temporarily for checking purpose. Because it may add you extra title tag in the background. You should flush any cache after the plugin disabled and restart your web browser to ensure cached page doesn’t remain to load.

    Hi Kharis,

I have deactivated every plugin. It was still there.
Then I’ve found a strange widget full of stuff (not from me) and there I have found this line, but after deleting it completely it is still in the code to find on every page. I have of course cleared the cache/new preload/restart the browser.

    It is solved.
It was surely 4 years on my website and I never was conscious of it!

It was a custom html text that I have created for a widget.

    Thank you!

    Hi Michael,

Great! You got the problem resolved by yourself.

It was a custom html text that I have created for a widget.

I hope you added the additional code either with a child theme or custom plugin, so you won’t lose when the theme is updated.

Feel free to raise a new topic for your other question.
