Second subscribers input field: a number

1. add a number field, additionally to “Name” e.g. for postal ZIP, donation, …

At this moment, there is no such plan to do so. But, you can use different forms plugin like Contact Form 7, WP Forms, Ninja Forms etc.. and integrate with Email Subscribers using Starter plan.

2. make the name of “last_name”-field flexible, I want to prompt subscribers for “region/city” for example. Make the name of the number-field flexible, too!

Sorry, but it’s not possible.

3. Update “name” and number-field if the subscriber subscribes once again. (At the moment even no update of “name” field, a bug??)

No, it’s not a bug. We have intentionally did that. So, only admin can edit the name of subscribers.

4. Distinguish between “subscription successfull!”-message and “subsciption update successful!”

We will think if we will allow people to edit their profile using subscription form. But, for now there is no such need to do that.

BTW: you are interested in a plugin that shows “lastN subscribers” that have subscribed with anonymized email address?? Its a big motivation to subscribe if a visitors sees that lot of other people susbscribed last days: http://schaechten21.net . The plugin shortcut, example: [show_lastN n=7 list_name=”myList”]. Email is shown even before confirmation.

If you want to display total contacts with subscription form, you can use {{TOTAL-CONTACTS}} tag in description field of your subscription form.

But, there is no such tag for last 7 days counter..
