Security for Member Login

    We have a security check on the registration page but not on the normal Simple Membership login page. I have been hoping that I could add this functionality otherwise anybody could bypass this security check. I am unsure why this is so difficult! It seems to be a major issue but surely not as major as no security on the login page at all? I have tried to find the page to add the security but am unable to get this information. What are the chances of having this added? I have provided the code from BestWebSoft for adding their security check but no progress so far. I cannot update it because it would mean adding code to the plugin which has to be avoided to remove risk of problems with future updates.

    Anybody got any ideas of how to solve this?

    Is it possible to provide me with an understanding of the difficulty please because as a non technical person it is difficult to appreciate the problem. What is the difficulty? I have provided one solution which you were looking at but still haven’t had any more information. Is there a problem incorporating the solution from BsetWebSoft? If so why is this?

    Anybody else reading this – Do you have a concern that there is no security on the actual login once a user has registered?

    I am not really sure what you mean by security. No one can log into the site unless they enter a valid username and password in the login form.

    Are you talking about adding a captcha to the login form maybe?

    Yes that is exactly what I am asking. I have asked before and you said you would discuss this with the developers. It would be really good if it could be added. It seems simple but I can’t even find the form. I believe it is just a simple add in to the form.
