    Hello,

    A security checker link to SEO signals the name of plugins are seen by anyone that could request my site.

    Do you know a simple way to Hide them (without install new plugin if possible) ?

  • Generally, those crawlers tend to look for signals within your code to identify the installed plugins in the front-end of your site. For example, some plugins use certain classes and IDs for their elements.

    It’s just about impossible to completely hide them for this reason. There are some plugins like Hide My WP (now GhostWP) that can deal with some of these footprints, but not all. I have to see that it’s almost impossible to do this by yourself. You would need to build a plugin of your own, for this purpose, so ultimately you will end installing a plugin to achieve this.
