    Is it possible that the new version of the plugin has a security issue?
    I have multiple WordPress installations with the Duplicator plugin installed, and they have been infected with malware.
    And I have seen that they attack the /wp-snapshots directory adding a .htaccess file and another index.php and also in /wp-snapshots/tmp

    An index.php and .htaccess file are common for that location. If you want to submit a support ticket for this issue we can have a closer look at your setup. Please provide a link to this thread when submitting the ticket.
