• Due to the security vulnerability in 2.2.7 users are forced to upgrade to the 2.3.1. The counts are not stable in 2.3.1 and are bouncing up and down. Caching the share counts is a nice concept to improve page load speeds, but the numbers need to be correct for the plugin to be useful. Can you give us an idea when this will be fixed?

Regarding count stability, is sharecount.com more stable than mashsengine?

  • Hi Christoph,

Please switch to sharedcount.com until we fix do this.

sharedcount.com is using another layer of caching so the counts should not bounce with it.

There is currently no timepoint for the next release as we have to work on several mashshare improvements and issues at the same time but we’ll focus on this with highest priority.

OK, I switched to sharecount.com. Perhaps you already know this, but there are dropped counts when using sharecount.com.

New version released with modified caching function.
