Hello,

Users are randomly getting “Security Test Failed” error when trying to use our password protected site. I am using Elementor on the site – just fyi. When users experience this I am able to access the site on my end, but they can’t on their end, even with an incognito window.

Any ideas to help with troubleshooting?

thanks for reaching out!

This will most likely be a caching issue. I wrote down some of the more common configuration problems here: https://patrickposner.dev/docs/passster/why-is-my-password-not-working-page-not-reloading#Youre-using-a-page-cache-plugin

This would make perfect sense as you can verify the protected content as an administrator (logged-in users are mostly excluded from the cache).

Hey Patrick,

It ended up being an issue with the user storing the password in their browser. Once they stopped that, they were able to login. Is there a known workaround?
