    Hey everyone,

    I am also using arcade basic, but I am having problems with the more-tag. I want to use it on the front page, but it doesn’t work. Any ideas? I tried the wordpress tag (of course), editing the content.php and the frontpage.php (since that’s the only place where I want to use it. Nothing seems to work. Can anyone help me out here? I would appreciate any help, this is driving me crazy!

    It is working fine with me and the text is current ‘Read more’ at the moment. Can you share your site’s url and I suggest to revert back to default all the files you modified so it will be easy to assist you. 🙂

    I have reverted all the changes I’ve made as soon as I saw they don’t work. I wouldn’t dare to mess with the background! 😉

    PS: the page is in German. I want the More-Tag after the first couple of sentences where you can see a blank line.

    Hey there BBallProCoach,

    Did you assign a static page as your front-page? If so, you can’t use more tag since you are viewing the current page. No need to redirect to the same page. If I am completely off the track on what you want to achieve. Please clarify it to me 🙂

    Thanks for your reply!
    I did assign a static front page. However, since the text is so long and functions as an introduction, I wanted to shorten it. So everybody who would like to see the whole thing can click on “View more” (or rather the equivilant in German 🙂 ) and the Rest can just go on. Especially for the mobile version this would be a great help! Is this maybe possible with the excerpt function? What would I have to do here, cause this only works for posts or?

    Would appreciate another helpful advice!

    Hey there BBallProCoach,

    You’re welcome and glad to help! 🙂

    I think you can just create a another page – same title and content but this time you will cut the title and add a button that will say “CLICK ME FOR MORE INFORMATION” or something like that and link it to the url of FULL VERSION page.

    So now you have two pages:
    FULL VERSION
    EXCERPT VERSION <- make this one your static front page
