Hi Cemal,
Thanks for tracking this down and reporting it here — that kind of detective work really helps us.
You’re right, this is a confirmed bug on our end. The GDPR consent banner stylesheet includes an overly broad CSS rule that interferes with transitions used by other plugins, which is exactly what’s causing the image display issue with your lightbox. We’ve tracked it here: https://github.com/wp-slimstat/wp-slimstat/issues/167
A fix is already in the works and will be included in the next release. In the meantime, keeping auto-updates paused as you’ve done is a perfectly fine workaround.
We appreciate you taking the time to report this!
Oh, good to hear I am not going crazy. And, glad to be of some help. I will wait to update it. Thank you for confirming the issue.
Hi Cemal,
Great news — version 5.4.2 is now available and includes the fix for the CSS rule that was interfering with your image displays. The overly broad transition rule has been scoped to SlimStat pages only, so it won’t affect your lightbox or any other plugins anymore.
You can safely re-enable auto-updates and update to v5.4.2 through your WordPress dashboard. Your images should work perfectly again.
Thanks again for tracking this down!
Thank you for the update of the plugin and the support thread. I updated it, and it does not seem to interfere with the display of my images.
