You don’t need to code in order to set the theme up to look the demo site. If you provide a link to your site and some details about the steps you’re stuck on, I’ll be happy to offer guidance.
Some general steps for getting started are as follows:
- Publish two pages: One titled “Home” and another titled “Blog.”
- Assign the “Front Page Template” to “Home.” This can be done from the page’s editor, via the Templates dropdown menu under the Page Attributes module.
- Navigate to Appearance > Customize > Static Front Page and choose the “A static page” option. From there, choose “Home” as your site’s front page and “Blog” as the posts page.
If you let me know those extra details, I’ll then be able to offer you some more specific steps.
