Hi there, welcome to self-hosted WordPress. ๐
As far as I know, Sela doesn’t come with any testimonial widgets on ww.wp.xz.cn. It does come with a testimonial custom post type which you can add to under Testimonials > Add New – is that what you’re referring to? (Just to make sure we’re talking about the same thing!)
On self-hosted sites, you can have access to the same testimonial custom post type by activating the Custom Content Types module in the Jetpack plugin, which it looks like you’ve already done on your site.
However, my problem is, now in the testimonial boxes it shows 1. the testimonial 2. like this: 3. loading 4. the author of the testimonial. I want to remove 2 & 3. I
The “like this” and loading buttons are coming from the Jetpack like settings, not from the theme.
You can disable Likes across your site by going into your Jetpack Settings and deactivating the Likes module. If you prefer, you can turn likes on and off per page, following the instructions here:

Hi Kathryn,
Thanks for writing me back. I have disabled the likes, and they are disabled on the rest of my site. However, in those testimonial boxes, the “Like this:” still shows up. As far as I can tell, it’s not connected to the other like settings from Jetpack.
What about the “loading”? That is the part that I would really like to be removed. It makes my site look unfinished and slow. When in reality, as far as I can tell, there is nothing loading.
If you have any insight on these two issues, that would be great! Thanks!

To remove the “Loading/Like this” bits that shouldn’t be there, you can add this to your CSS:
.home .sd-like {
display: none;
}
If you’d like to try to get to the root of the problem, you can try contacting Jetpack support:

Let me know if the CSS removes the pieces you don’t want to see.
Great! You’re the best! Thank you for your help!
Hi Kathryn, it’s Ilaria, I just moved here from this question https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/sela-theme-testimonials-1?replies=7#post-2327327%23postform
I launched mydomain.com/testimonial but it gaves me a ‘not found’. Could you please tell me why?
Katerine_xx – What’s your real URL?
Katerine_xx – be sure your site is set to use “pretty permalinks” of some kind and not the default permalinks like ?p=423
http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Introduction_to_Blogging#Pretty_Permalinks
I’ve set up custom permalinks, the site is http://www.villafidelia.it
ops, now it works! so, the only thing I have to do is to create a link coming from the main menu?
ops, now it works!
Yep! I see your testimonial page here: http://www.villafidelia.it/testimonial/
You can add a link to this page in a custom menu if you like: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ (a WordPress.com support document but the technique is the same on self-hosted sites.)
If you need more help with anything else, could you please start a new thread? This one’s already been marked resolved. Thanks!
