Selected function to mark selected item in dropdown

    I have expanded on the user profile. I created a new public profile page and I’m reading values from the usermeta table. I’m pulling the data back using the get_user_meta() function and then using the selected() function to mark what option is selected. However it is not working. Has anyone worked with this before?
