Semantic Versioning Compliance

This causes some problems with automated tools like dependency update bots that try to parse with semver regex.

This would be a great enhancement! Be sure not to put the v letter but just 0.9.2 according the semver doc:

Is “v1.2.3” a semantic version?
No, “v1.2.3” is not a semantic version.
